Windscreen Chip Fix Ltd
Windscreen Chip Fix Ltd provides mobile windscreen chip repair services only. We do not provide windscreen replacement services and do not repair cracks, edge damage, or windscreen damage that is assessed as unsuitable for repair. All assessments of suitability are made at the time of inspection and are based on the size, position, condition, and characteristics of the damage.
All repairs are carried out using professional repair materials and established repair techniques, with reference to recognised industry guidance including BS AU 242b:2022 where applicable. Windscreen repairs are intended to restore structural integrity and improve the appearance of the damaged area. Cosmetic perfection, complete invisibility, or permanent prevention of further damage cannot be guaranteed.
By proceeding with a windscreen chip repair, the customer acknowledges and accepts that windscreen damage is inherently unpredictable. Pre-existing weaknesses in the glass, including internal stress, temperature variation, prior impacts, vehicle movement, or manufacturing characteristics, may cause damage to spread before, during, or after the repair process, even where the repair is carried out correctly and to a professional standard.
The customer understands and accepts that windscreen chip repair is a risk-managed process, not a guaranteed outcome. In some cases, a chip may develop into a crack despite appropriate repair methods being used, due to factors beyond the control of Windscreen Chip Fix Ltd.
Repairs are carried out in accordance with our Repair Warranty, which outlines the circumstances in which a further repair may be offered where a repaired chip fails as a direct result of workmanship or materials used during the original repair. The Repair Warranty applies only to the specific repaired area and does not cover new damage, additional chips, unrelated cracks, or damage arising from subsequent impact, stress, or environmental factors.
Windscreen Chip Fix Ltd does not accept responsibility for the cost of windscreen replacement under any circumstances, including where a repair is unsuccessful or where damage spreads following repair. Any decision to replace a windscreen remains the responsibility of the vehicle owner.
The customer is responsible for removing any valuables or personal items from the vehicle prior to repair. Windscreen Chip Fix Ltd accepts no responsibility for the loss of, or damage to, personal property left within the vehicle during the repair process.
Windscreen Chip Fix Ltd shall not be liable for damage, loss, or delay arising from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to third-party actions, road traffic incidents, vandalism, weather conditions, or accidents involving the vehicle while work is being carried out. Responsibility for such events remains with the vehicle owner and their insurer where applicable.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Windscreen Chip Fix Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage, including but not limited to loss of use of the vehicle, inconvenience, travel costs, or associated expenses. Our total liability in relation to any repair is limited to the value of the repair carried out. Nothing in these Terms of Service limits or excludes liability where such limitation or exclusion is not permitted under UK consumer law.
The customer is responsible for ensuring safe access to the vehicle and suitable conditions for repair. Windscreen Chip Fix Ltd reserves the right to refuse, postpone, or discontinue work where access is unsafe, environmental conditions are unsuitable, or where continuing would risk damage to the vehicle or compromise repair quality.
Any subsequent repair, modification, or replacement of the windscreen by another party, or any accident or impact affecting the windscreen after the repair has been completed, may invalidate any warranty or further liability.
Payment is due upon completion of the repair unless otherwise agreed in advance. Failure to make payment may result in recovery action where permitted by law.
These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
